Runway’s AI Tools Now Integrated in Adobe Premiere, After Effects

Runway AI has launched plugins for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, enabling video editors to generate, restyle, and integrate AI-powered footage directly within their timelines. The announcement, made on September 8, 2026, marks a significant step in reducing workflow friction for creators who rely on Adobe’s industry-standard tools.

Previously, using Runway’s generative models required exporting frames, uploading them to a browser, and re-importing the results. The new plugins eliminate this cumbersome process. Additional features include HDR conversion, background removal, and one-click upscaling, all accessible from the plugin interface.

Runway also enables cross-team collaboration with a built-in workspace switcher, allowing users to manage projects across multiple accounts. Generations and edits use credits from a user’s existing Runway subscription plan, ensuring continuity for current customers.
