Despite these advancements, the report notes that the use of AI for grading remains contentious. While some educators automate grading tasks, others express concerns about its efficacy and ethical implications. Nearly half of the grading-related interactions observed in the study were automation-heavy, yet educators surveyed rated this as AI’s least effective application.
