GateToken is the official and native token on the GateChain Mainnet of the Gate.io ecosystem. Formally launched on 02 March 2020 as Gate.io’s official exchange token, the GateToken has since remained an important part of the Gate.io ecosystem, totally depending on Gate.io with its development pegged to the ecosystem.

Now with a total supply of 300 million tokens, 46.39% of the GateToken supply has been burned since its introduction, 43.61% of the supply is in actual circulation and a total of 10% is in storage. 15% of its total operating profits have been used by Gate.io to buy back GateToken from the market for public burning, and 5% for marketing & ecological purposes, GT R&D, making a total of 20% buyback.
