The purpose of Shibdentity is to integrate SHIB names into the digital environment so that each user has a unique identity on Web3, comparable to a username on platforms such as X. The Shiba Inu team stresses the importance of preserving and evolving these digital identities to maintain their relevance and protection in the face of technological advancement.
Shytoshi Kusama, leader of SHIB, has detailed future functionalities of Shibdentity, which include the use of a .shib domain for various online functions, such as web hosting, sending emails, transferring SHIB and other assets, and identity verification on Web3. The launch date for the project has not yet been confirmed.
