Sei Announces $50K Gauntlet Gaming Competition and $250K Creator Fund Round #4

Sei is set to invigorate the Web3 gaming community with the launch of two parallel initiatives: Sei GG: The Legendary Gauntlet gaming competition and Creator Fund Round #4, according to Sei.

Sei GG: The Gauntlet Gaming Competition

The Sei GG competition is a three-week-long event where Web3 gamers will compete across five different games for a total prize pool of $50,000. The competition will run from September 16th at 10 AM EST to October 7th at 10 AM EST.

How It Works

• Each of the five games offers $10,000 in weekly prizes.
• Player scores reset every week, providing new opportunities to compete for top spots.
• Winners are determined based on performance metrics like highest score or most wins, depending on the game.

Creator Fund Round #4: Supporting Web3 Gaming Creators

Sei Creator Fund Overview

The $10 million Sei Creator Fund is launching its fourth round with a $250,000 matching pool. This round aims to support developers working on Educational Content, Developer Tools, Smart Contract Development, Integration, and Documentation.

Round 4 Details

Web3 gaming creators can apply for grants through Creator Fund Round #4, which focuses on projects that contribute to the growth of the Sei gaming ecosystem.

Focus Areas

• Content Series Development: Create content series centered around Sei’s Web3 gaming ecosystem.
• Campaigns and Contests: Host events that encourage participation in Sei games.
• Streaming and Live Content: Produce live content to showcase Sei games.
• Community Collaborations: Develop initiatives to foster a sense of community within the Sei gaming ecosystem.

Application Details

• Applications open at 10 AM EST on September 16th and close at noon EST on September 26th.
• Voting and donations will commence shortly thereafter on the Gitcoin Platform.

How to Vote

• Review applications when donations open at noon EST on September 26th via the Gitcoin Explorer.
• Donate to your preferred grantees, with Gitcoin pooling small donations and matching them with the larger $250k central fund from the SEI Foundation.

Application Committee

An Application Committee will review projects based on their potential to grow the Sei gaming ecosystem, track record, uniqueness, and overall value. Projects meeting these criteria will be put to a community vote.

Post-Funding Requirements

• Track milestones via Karma GAP on project progress.
• Maintain open communication with the Sei community by sharing insights and challenges.
• Participate in Sei community events to present progress and outcomes.
