NVIDIA and its partners unveil next-gen robotics and AI technologies at Automatica 2025, highlighting advancements in humanoid robots and industrial AI solutions.
NVIDIA, along with its partners, is making significant strides in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies at the Automatica 2025 conference in Munich, Germany. The event highlights the integration of AI into real-world manufacturing applications, showcasing innovations that aim to tackle labor shortages and enhance productivity across Europe, according to NVIDIA’s official blog.
NVIDIA Technologies Boost Robotics Development
Central to these advancements is Europe’s first industrial AI cloud, announced at NVIDIA GTC Paris. This Germany-based AI factory, equipped with 10,000 NVIDIA GPUs, offers a secure and centralized AI infrastructure to support industrial workloads. The cloud aids in various applications, including factory digital twins and robotics.
NVIDIA has also introduced the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T N1.5, an open foundation model designed to improve humanoid robot reasoning and skills. This model enhances adaptability and performance in tasks like material handling. Supporting this development is the Isaac GR00T-Dreams blueprint, enabling robots to learn from minimal human demonstrations through synthetic trajectory data.
Global Robotics Leaders Adopt NVIDIA Simulation Technology
Several robotics developers and solution providers are leveraging NVIDIA’s simulation technology to innovate in the field. NEURA Robotics from Germany has unveiled its third-generation humanoid, 4NE1, which assists in both domestic and professional settings. Utilizing NVIDIA’s Isaac Sim and Lab, NEURA Robotics has developed Neuraverse, a digital twin ecosystem for robot training and applications.
Delta Electronics introduced new collaborative robots, D-Bot Mar and D-Bot 2 in 1, aimed at optimizing production flows. Meanwhile, Wandelbots, in collaboration with SoftServe, is using NVIDIA’s simulation technology to facilitate virtual validation and real-world deployment of industrial robotics.
Cyngyn is integrating its DriveMod technology with Isaac Sim for virtual testing of autonomous operations, already deployed in vehicles like the Motrec MT-160 Tugger and BYD Forklift. Doosan Robotics is showcasing a “sim to real” solution, emphasizing seamless task transfer from simulation to real-world applications.
Franka Robotics has integrated NVIDIA’s Isaac GR00T N1.5 into its dual-arm Franka Research 3 robot, enhancing autonomous task performance without the need for specific programming. Hexagon launched its AEON humanoid, designed for various industrial applications, powered by NVIDIA’s technology.
Intrinsic is advancing robotic capabilities by integrating its Flowstate software with NVIDIA’s Omniverse for enhanced visualization. SCHUNK is demonstrating its grasping kit, powered by NVIDIA’s Jetson AGX Orin, showcasing object detection and optimal grasping in a pick-and-place scenario.
Universal Robots is presenting UR15, a high-speed collaborative robot with NVIDIA’s AI Accelerator, setting new standards for industrial automation. Vention is expanding its offerings with the introduction of the FR3 robot from Franka Robotics, enhancing solutions for academic and research use.
