Nexo, a leading institution in digital asset management, has announced its continued commitment to data security after successfully renewing its SOC Type II audit.

Paired with the achievement of a new SOC 3 Type II certification, the expanded audit scope, now including additional Trust Service Criteria such as Confidentiality, demonstrates Nexo’s dedication to the safeguarding of sensitive user data.

On July 25, 2024, Nexo announced these significant milestones with an emphasis on data protection, which remains at the heart of the firm’s mission to ensure user trust and security.

Conducted by A-LIGN, a reputable independent auditor with over two decades of expertise in security compliance, the assessments confirmed Nexo’s adherence to Trust Service Criteria for Security and Confidentiality without exception.

Nexo’s recent reports continue to highlight the company’s rigorous data protection measures, reinforced by the initial SOC 2 Type II audit results shared a year prior. The SOC 2 standards is managed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and evaluates an organization’s internal controls related to security and privacy.

Milan Velev, Nexo’s Chief Information Security Officer, expressed his pride and sense of duty in light of the certifications achieved by the firm for the second year running. “Completing the gold standard in client data protection for the second consecutive year brings me great pride and a profound sense of responsibility. It is crucial for Nexo customers to have compliance peace of mind, knowing that we diligently adhere to security regulations and remain committed to annual SOC audits. These assessments provide further confidence that Nexo is their partner in the digital assets sector.”

Nexo’s reputation for operational integrity is further reinforced by the firm’s adherence to the CCSS Level 3 Cryptocurrency Security Standard for asset storage, and other prestigious certifications including ISO 27001, ISO 27017, and ISO 27018 from RINA.

Among these reputable certifications, Nexo also holds the CSA Security, Trust & Assurance Registry (STAR) Level 1 Certification — cementing its position as one of the most secure asset management institutions in the space.
