The second season of Killer Whales, a television series spotlighting Web3 entrepreneurs, will debut its first episode on March 6, 2025, via X and Hello TV. A global release on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, TUBI, and Google Play follows in April. Produced by HELLO Labs, CoinMarketCap, and AltCoinDaily, the show targets mainstream audiences by merging entertainment with crypto education, leveraging a reality-TV format to simplify complex concepts.
This season raises the stakes for participants, offering a $1.5 million incubation fund, mentorship from industry figures, and a $100,000 accelerator package from CoinMarketCap. Projects earning three “Swim” votes from judges secure additional support, including media production, partnerships, and access to the Killer Whales network. Winning teams also enter year-long marketing agreements with stakeholders linked to the show.
Judges—dubbed “Whales”—include Mario Nawfal, Anthony Scaramucci, and Gracy Chen, alongside Web3 leaders like Ran Neuner and Altcoin Daily. Hosted by Thread Guy, the panel evaluates startups on scalability, technical execution, and market viability. Partners such as Bitget, GALAXIS, and DEXCHECK AI contribute resources, mentorship, and promotional backing to contestants.
HELLO Labs co-founder Sander Görtjes emphasized the show’s role in bridging Web3 and traditional audiences:

Paul Caslin, another co-founder, noted that 15% of Season 1 projects secured acquisitions, funding, or revenue growth post-show. Beverage brand ApeWater expanded into new markets after raising $2.5 million, while FX1 entered the Google Startup Program.
Season 1 achieved an 8.5 IMDb rating and “Certified Fresh” status on Rotten Tomatoes, reaching 600 million viewers across 65 countries. Social media engagement surpassed 120 million impressions, and participating projects collectively secured over $10 million in growth funding.
