- Hacktivist group Anonymous has pledged to unearth all the crimes of Terra founder Do Kwon.
- Community members have given a mixed response to Anonymous with some calling it empty threats.
.A month after the Terra ecosystem’s collapse, investigators have been unearthing what went wrong behind the massive LUNA crash that wiped out $40 billion of investors in a matter of a week. Hacktivist group Anonymous has recently published a video thereby pledging to bring Terra, co-founder, Do Kwon’s ‘crimes’ to light.
In the video, Anonymous noted that they will “make sure” that Kwon is “brought to justice as soon as possible”. In a video released Sunday, June 26, hacker group Anonymous released a laundry list for all of Kwon’s wrongdoings.
This includes cashing out $80 million each month from TerraUSD and LUNA before its collapse. It also unearths Kwon’s role in the collapse of Basis Cash stablecoin, a project that Kwon was working on prior to Terra. In the video message, Anonymous notes:
Do Kwon, if you are listening, sadly, there is nothing that can be done to reverse the damage that you have done. At this point, the only thing that we can do is hold you accountable and make sure that you are brought to justice as soon as possible.
“Anonymous is looking into Do Kwon’s entire history since he entered the crypto space to see what we can learn and bring to light,” the hacker group adds. “There is no doubt that there are many more crimes to be discovered in your trail of destruction”.
Furthermore, the hacker group also calls out Kwon’s arrogant tactics in trolling competitors and critics and also acting as if he would never fail.
Anonymous going after crypto personalities
Anonymous is a decentralized international activist collective formed back in 2003. It has been after major crypto personalities recently. Last year in June 2021, Anonymous targeted billionaire Elon Musk for allegedly “destroying lives” using his fame and influence and Twitter.

Anonymous also lashed out at Musk for trying to play with the crypto market. The video has over 3.4 million views as of date. However, Anonymous is not the first to call out Musk.
In fact, many have said that Musk has been behind manipulating the price of Bitcoin and Dogecoin. Recently, one of the Dogecoin investors also sued Elon Musk for a staggering $258 billion. The complaint noted that Elon Musk was operating and running a Dogecoin pyramid scheme.
Soon after Anonymous released its YouTube video, it received some community support. Followers thanked the channel for its efforts to bring out the truth. However, users on the r/CryptoCurrency subreddit were more skeptical and called it an empty threat.
One of the commenters said: “Anonymous is so teen bop now […] This anon video is so non-threatening it’s almost bizarre”. Another added: “would expect them to have uncovered something but its nothing more than, well nothing”.
