BNB Chain, the community-driven blockchain ecosystem that includes the world’s largest smart contract blockchain by daily transactions, has announced the return of the Memecoin Daily competition Series for Round 2. From December 24 to December 31, 2024, BNB Chain will once again spotlight the ecosystem’s top-performing memecoins by purchasing 33 BNB worth of tokens each day and airdropping them to 1,000 BNB and CAKE holders.

Round 2 builds on the success of the first Memecoin Daily Airdrop Series. Some of the winning projects from Round 1 included AlCell, MONKEY, and FROG, which earned spots on the Binance Alpha Watchlist. This second round offers another chance for memecoins to shine and for community members to engage with the BNB Chain ecosystem.
Daily Competition Period and Eligibility Criteria:
- Day 8: December 24, 12:00 PM – December 25, 11:59 AM UTC (Memecoins launched after November 15, 2024)
- Day 9: December 25, 12:00 PM – December 26, 11:59 AM UTC
- Day 10: December 26, 12:00 PM – December 27, 11:59 AM UTC (Memecoins launched after December 1, 2024)
- Day 11: December 27, 12:00 PM – December 28, 11:59 AM UTC
- Day 12: December 28, 12:00 PM – December 29, 11:59 AM UTC
- Day 13: December 29, 12:00 PM – December 30, 11:59 AM UTC
- Day 14: December 30, 12:00 PM – December 31, 11:59 AM UTC
Each day, the top-performing memecoin on BNB Smart Chain will be selected based on three key metrics:
- Ranked 24-hour trading volume (50%)
- Ranked market capitalization (30%)
- Ranked price increment in a 24-hour period (20%)
A real-time leaderboard will track these metrics, ensuring transparency and fairness in the competition. The daily winner will see 33 BNB worth of its tokens purchased by BNB Chain and airdropped to winners.
The airdrop is open to all BNB and CAKE holders meeting these criteria:
- Hold at least 1 BNB or 235 CAKE.
- Wallets must contain eligible tokens: slisBNB, BNBx, stkBNB, ankrBNB, or Cake.
- Snapshot time: December 24, 2024, 12:00 PM UTC.
