Key Takeaways

  • U.S. crypto ETFs drew $1.24B last week, with bitcoin funds capturing $986.85M.
  • Bitcoin took 79.4% of inflows, showing institutions concentrated on core crypto assets.
  • Fed rate expectations will test whether bitcoin ETF inflows can stay elevated.

Bitcoin ETF Inflows Hit $987M in Third Straight Winning Week

Institutional money crowded back into bitcoin last week, restoring a familiar hierarchy across the crypto ETF market.

Spot bitcoin ETFs logged $986.85 million in weekly inflows with net assets closing at $101.25 billion, marking a third consecutive week of gains. The total was up roughly 7% from $924 million a week earlier.

Thursday supplied the defining move. Bitcoin ETFs took in $730.87 million, their third-largest daily inflow of 2026 and the biggest since Jan. 14, as bitcoin’s price pushed above $80,000.

The week still had its swings. Funds opened Monday with $216.70 million in inflows, reversed to a $236.46 million outflow on Tuesday, then recovered with $101.15 million on Wednesday. Friday added another $174.60 million even as bitcoin slipped back below $80,000.

Blackrock’s IBIT dominated the weekly leaderboard with $691.51 million. Ark & 21Shares’ ARKB followed with $137.74 million, while Fidelity’s FBTC added $94.88 million. Grayscale’s GBTC lost $48 million.

Ether Rebounds as XRP and Solana Stay Positive

Ether ETFs finished the week with $218.41 million in net inflows.

The category began with $87.68 million on Monday and another $10.95 million on Tuesday, extending its inflow streak to 12 sessions. That run ended Wednesday with a $48.08 million outflow. The reversal proved brief. Ether funds snapped back with $141.39 million on Thursday and added $26.46 million on Friday.

XRP ETFs brought in $18.96 million for the week. Monday and Tuesday produced inflows of $5.64 million and $14.38 million, respectively. A $7.20 million outflow followed on Wednesday before $6.14 million returned on Thursday. Friday was flat. That steady net gain adds another institutional signal for traders watching XRP’s price action.

Solana ETFs ended with $6.18 million in weekly inflows after a choppy sequence of gains and losses. HYPE ETFs attracted $12.27 million, helped by Friday’s $10.52 million inflow.

Bitcoin Regains Control of the Flow Mix

The larger story was concentration.

Bitcoin accounted for roughly 79.4% of total inflows across the five ETF categories, according to Sosovalue data. Combined, bitcoin and ether represented about 97%. A week earlier, the two assets made up closer to 84.5% as solana, XRP and HYPE captured a larger share.

Trading activity cooled at the same time. Bitcoin ETF turnover fell about 24% to roughly $14.5 billion, while ether turnover dropped about 35% to $4.09 billion. Combined turnover across the five categories declined around 27% to $19.3 billion.

The pattern points to more concentrated institutional allocation across the crypto market, with capital favoring core assets even as overall trading intensity eased. Macro conditions now sit at the center of the next move. Stronger U.S. employment data revived questions over the Federal Reserve’s rate path late in the week.

For bitcoin ETFs, the test is straightforward: whether weekly inflows can remain elevated if higher-rate expectations return and pressure risk assets again.
