In a June 2021 article, CNF mentioned the death of a renowned crypto billionaire, John McAfee. Fascinatingly, his influence on the industry has earned notable mentions in different reports, with the latest tribute coming from the launch of a meme coin called AIntivirus (AINTI).
In an accompanying blog post shared by the official John McAfee X handle, the team highlighted that the launch is meant to expand the legacy of the late crypto figure.
Analyzing the post, CNF found that the AIntivirus was described as not just another meme coin “but the cure for other meme coins.” Meanwhile, a suite of privacy products has been reported to be released this year with all of them accepting AINTI as payment. To them, McAfee cared much about privacy and security, which would be the project’s main focus.

Product Line-Ups to Boost AIntivirus
According to the post, one of the first products to expect this year is the eSIM and gift card exchange. The launch is fixed for early February and would enable users to exchange AINTI for any esim cards worldwide. Additionally, the supposed gift cards would be from more than 200 retailers which include Airbnb, Amazon, Apple, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Walmart, etc.
In the post, the team pointed out that there would be no Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification. Specifically, there would be no requirement for personal information or email. In March, the team would launch the AIntivirus encrypted email service. This is meant to promote the privacy principle of McAfee and prevent Google from reading emails. According to them, a slight improvement would be made on the McAfee website to boost the interface.

Fascinatingly, these features have been in development for several months now, according to the post. Beyond that, the team also claims to be working on an anonymous web hosting platform, as well as a completely private VPN service that does not demand phone numbers or email. For now, Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions will be conducted to take questions and provide answers in a blog post format. However, according to the report, this would be done in a few days.
McAfee’s influence in the crypto industry was a “big one,” as the community remembers him for his bold predictions.
