Japanese listed company Remixpoint is narrowing its crypto bet to one asset: bitcoin. The company said it sold all of its altcoin holdings on Sept. 1, including about 901.45 ETH, 13,920 SOL, 1.1912 million XRP and 2.8023 million DOGE.
The disposals generated approximately $5.54 million (¥879 million) in proceeds and about $743,270 (¥118 million) in profit.
With those sales complete, bitcoin is now the company’s only remaining crypto asset. Remixpoint holds roughly 1,506 BTC and said it plans to center both its holdings and future operations around bitcoin.
The move marks a clear strategic shift. Rather than maintaining a diversified digital asset portfolio, Remixpoint is choosing concentration.
Altcoin Exposure Gives Way to a Bitcoin-First Strategy
Remixpoint said the decision was part of a broader effort to streamline its portfolio and focus resources on Bitcoin.
Before the sale, the company was earning staking income from ETH and SOL. As of the end of August, staking returns were worth about $68,847 (¥10.93 million) from ethereum and $119,301 (¥18.94 million) from Solana, for a combined total of roughly $188,148 (¥29.87 million).
That income was not enough to keep the positions in place. The company’s decision suggests it sees greater strategic value in holding bitcoin directly than in maintaining exposure to a broader basket of crypto assets.
Its bitcoin investment performance had reached about 14.92 BTC, valued at roughly $1.034 million (¥164.21 million) based on month-end conversion rates.
Why Remixpoint’s Bitcoin Bet Matters
The significance lies less in the size of the altcoin sale and more in the direction of capital.
Public companies adding bitcoin to their balance sheets have become a familiar part of the crypto market. Remixpoint is taking that approach further by removing competing digital assets entirely.
That leaves investors with a cleaner thesis: the company’s crypto strategy is now tied almost exclusively to bitcoin and, by extension, bitcoin’s price.
For shareholders, that creates both simplicity and concentration risk. If bitcoin outperforms the broader crypto market, Remixpoint’s decision could strengthen its treasury strategy. If bitcoin weakens, there is less diversification to absorb the impact.
The move also sends a notable signal to the market. While many corporate crypto strategies are expanding into staking, tokenized assets and multiple digital currencies, Remixpoint is moving in the opposite direction.
