Shibarium Bridge to allow SHIB ecosystem to connect with billion-$-projects

As we know, Shiba Inu developers have been working on the launch of the much-awaited Layer-2 scalability protocol Shibarium. The team has already released the Shibarium testnet aka PuppyNet which has seen strong network activity within a month of its launch.

LucieSHIB, a Shiba Inu enthusiast has recently shared important information about Shibarium while adding that the Shibarium bridge is partially functional. But as we know, Shibarium is still in the beta phase of testing. Once it’s fully functional, the Shibarium bridge will significantly boost the utility of the Layer-2 protocol.

As per the documentation of the Shibarium blockchain network, it comprises the Shibarium Proof-of-Stake (PoS) chain as well as the Ethereum + Shibarium bridge. The Shibarium PoS will use the sidechains of the Ethereum network to process transactions thereby resulting in faster transaction speed and cost-effectiveness.

Furthermore, the Shibarium PoS would ensure security for users by using the Plasma Bridge technology as well as the decentralized network of PoS validators. Similarly, the Shibarium bridge will also use the Plasma and PoS security to facilitate bi-directional transactions between Shibarium and Ethereum. Without any third-party risks, the bridge will facilitate the transfer of tokens between the two networks. It will also ensure smooth liquidity between the two platforms thereby serving as a scaling solution.

As of now, there are nearly half a million ERC 20 tokens on Ethereum. This Shibarium bridge will facilitate the transfer of all these tokens between Shibarium and Ethereum.

Shiba Army Eagerly Awaiting the Shibarium Launch

Lucie Sasnikova, a prominent member of the Shiba Inu community has also spread the word that the Shibarium team is working on a special feature that will give a major boost to the Layer-2 scalability protocol Shibarium. Lucie added that the Shibarium bridge will be a game-changer for the Shibarium network which will significantly boost the network utility.

On the other hand, the SHIB Army has started questioning the Shiba Inu team after a long wait for the Shibarium launch. Last Friday, messages started appearing on the Telegram channel asking Shibarium lead developer Shytoshi Kusama “wen Shibarium?” The message was in reference to Kusama’s previous promise that the Shibarium launch shall happen before May.

However, there’s no clarity on when the actual launch will happen. But the strong response to Shibarium testnet PuppyNet brims up optimism that the Shibarium launch would happen shortly. Several projects have also shown the readiness to launch exclusively on the Shibarium protocol.
