Ripple Community Alert: Evernode Announces Major XRPL Airdrop

• To begin with, the Evernode airdrop has targeted the Xumm wallet users as it supports all the necessary functionality to claim the airdrop that involves over 5.1 million Evers.

• The registration process for the eligible XRPL users is expected to end by December 11 as the airdrop will take place during the official launch on December 18.

The XRP community has been called upon to register for an incoming airdrop that will involve the Evernode, a layer-two smart contract platform on the Xahau Network, and its native token Evers. According to the announcement, the XRPL account holders with XRP of up to 50 million will be rewarded, thus excluding large whale investors like Ripple’s escrow account.

Furthermore, about 5.16 million Evers are up for grabs during the hotly anticipated airdrop, which is expected to end by December 18. As a result, XRPL account holders who held through September 01, 2023, have been requested to participate in the registration process in order to claim their fair share of the airdrop. The announcement noted.

We will use an Airdrop Hook to airdrop a total of 5,160,960 Evers to r-addresses on Xahau in proportion to the share of qualifying XRP held in each matching r-address on XRPL on 1 September 2023. 

The Evernode airdrop is expected to involve the XRP community in the development of a sustainable smart contract ecosystem on the Xahau network thus supporting hooks like other top blockchains. Furthermore, the mainstream adoption of smart contracts lies in the ability of how easily programmable they are to fit the needs of every user in the web3 industry. As a result, the Evernode team proposed to gift the XRPL account holders with its Evers tokens to kickstart the ultimate process of bringing hook smart contracts on the Ripple-backed network.

Key Details of the Evernode Airdrop to XRP Holders

The first stage of the Evernode airdrop, which happens through the Xumm wallet, will not involve the Bitrue and Uphold exchanges, despite being major participants. Nonetheless, the Evernode team has announced that it will calculate the amount of Evers for the respective exchanges and airdrop during a set date.

Notably, XRPL users are expected to import their respective addresses to the Xahau network. Meanwhile, XRP holders through other prominent wallets like Ledger can participate in the registration, but the Evernode team noted that the process of importing their accounts to Xahau will not be easy. The announcement added.

We recommend users of other wallets use the SetRegularKey function to allow their account to be imported into Xumm without revealing the private master keys,” 

Worth noting that the XRP holders with multiple accounts but with a balance of less than 50 million tokens can register for the airdrop for each account. The registration of the Evernode airdrop is expected to close by Monday, December 11, which is one week before the official set date for the mainnet launch.

For clarification purposes, the airdrop claim will not involve an XRP token burn as it happens on the Xahau token as the funds are a gift to the participation of the Evernode protocol by the XRPL account holders.
