Speaking on its X platform, the Litecoin Foundation said there are precisely 10 million tokens left to mine as Litecoin’s total supply was capped at 84 million tokens at the project’s launch. In other news, Litecoin recently had 10 million ordinals inscribed, indicating a significant growth in Litecoin’s community strength.
Despite this positive development, LTC recorded a 2.84% surge in December. On December 19, LTC traded for $70.32. Seven days later, LTC surged and sold for $72.34.
Even though Litecoin did not rise with other top altcoins in Q4 2023, analysts predict that LTC will record a significant bull run in 2024 due to an influx of new crypto whales looking to accumulate scarce LTC tokens. Therefore, we can expect LTC to trade for $85.50 by July 2024.
Aptos Foundation Unlocked 25 Million Tokens in December
On December 12, Token Unlocks (one of the best DeFi tracking platforms) revealed that the Aptos Foundation unlocked 24.84 million tokens (worth approximately $210 million). These Aptos tokens account for 8.90% of Aptos’s total circulating supply, and the recipients included core contributors, community members, and top investors.
