BNB Chain has announced its participation in ETHTokyo as a gold sponsor, set to take place in Shibuya from August 23 to August 25, 2024. ETHTokyo is a major hackathon organized by the Ethereum Japan community, bringing together developers and blockchain enthusiasts from around the globe.
BNB Chain’s Sponsorship and Challenges
As a gold sponsor, BNB Chain will present two build themes, each offering a $2,500 prize for the most innovative solutions. The onboarding build session, open to all participants free of charge, will be held on Thursday, facilitated by the BNB Chain technical team.
Track 1: Decentralized Version of Notion on Greenfield
Prize: $2,500
The first challenge aims to create a decentralized file management system on Greenfield, providing users with full control and ownership of their data. The system must support secure file sharing and collaboration, utilizing crypto address-based or NFT holder-based access.
This decentralized file management system should ensure data security, immutability, and censorship resistance by leveraging Greenfield for decentralized storage. Additionally, the system should integrate SpaceID for user-friendly file sharing via readable names.
Track 2: Loyalty Program for the Catering Industry
Prize: $2,500
The second challenge focuses on developing a decentralized loyalty and rewards program for the catering industry. The program should facilitate direct engagement between restaurants and customers, eliminating intermediaries. It should also include a universal reward token usable across multiple platforms and restaurants.
The decentralized platform must be built on BNB Chain, using smart contracts to automate reward distribution. A decentralized identity system should manage user profiles, and the loyalty token should be ERC-20 compliant for easy integration. Participants are encouraged to create customizable dashboards for restaurants to manage rewards and customer interactions seamlessly.
BNB Chain at Tokyo Connect
BNB Chain will also be the blockchain partner at Tokyo Connect, an exclusive side event at WebX designed to bridge Japanese Web3 projects with international counterparts. Co-hosted by N Suite and Pacific Meta, Tokyo Connect offers participants networking opportunities, market insights, and the chance to connect over a gourmet sushi reception.
The event will feature industry leaders and innovators from the Web3 space, providing valuable insights into market trends and opportunities in both international and Japanese markets.
