Binance Academy, the educational arm of Binance, has forged a partnership with renowned online learning platform Coursera to develop certified Web3 educational programs, according to a recent announcement. These programs aim to span a wide array of Web3 and blockchain topics and are designed to cater to both foundational and professional certification needs.
Binance Academy’s collaboration with Coursera is expected to play a vital role in filling the knowledge gap between the rapidly evolving blockchain technology and the contemporary workforce.
“In a world where Web3 is becoming increasingly prevalent, understanding blockchain technology has become essential for everyone,” Binance said in its statement. The collaboration extends the reach of Binance Academy’s educational initiatives, with the objective of spreading blockchain knowledge globally and fostering financial inclusion and innovation.
Coursera, a leading e-learning platform with a user base of more than 124 million, will make Binance Academy’s blockchain programs available to a wider audience. These programs are designed to cater to a range of learners, from beginners to budding blockchain professionals, and will include reading materials, video lectures, practice and graded assessments, and projects. On completion, learners will receive a digital certificate verifying their newly-acquired skills and knowledge.
This partnership is aligned with the increasing demand for qualified blockchain and crypto professionals. As the adoption of blockchain technology accelerates, there’s a noticeable skills gap emerging which needs to be addressed to unlock the full potential of this technology.
“Education is the cornerstone of progress and innovation,” said Yi He, Binance co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer. “We’re combining the strengths of two industry leaders with a shared vision – to provide best-in-class education that will drive adoption and build the foundations for Web3.”
Binance Academy and Coursera’s joint endeavor is poised to contribute significantly to the blockchain industry by educating and empowering individuals with essential blockchain skills, thus facilitating the transition into a more decentralized future.
