Diagnosed with ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease, in April 2023, Larsen embarked on a mission to preserve her voice for her grandchildren, who she may never meet.

To achieve this, Larsen utilized voice banking technology, a groundbreaking tool that allows individuals to record their voices for future use. She recorded herself reading 30 children’s books, each linked with a QR code to a private audio recording. This innovation ensures that her voice can be a comforting presence for her family, particularly her future grandchildren.
