Mistral.ai unveils a free API tier, improved pricing, a new enterprise-grade Mistral Small, and free vision capabilities on le Chat.
Mistral.ai has announced significant updates, including a free API tier, enhanced pricing across its models, and the release of new enterprise-grade solutions, according to Mistral.ai.
Free Tier on La Plateforme
La Plateforme, Mistral.ai’s serverless platform, now offers a free tier. This enables developers to start experimenting, evaluating, and prototyping at no cost. Users can seamlessly upgrade to a commercial tier, benefiting from full data isolation, zero-retention options, and higher rate limits. Additionally, users have the flexibility to deploy Mistral models on various cloud infrastructures, including Azure, AWS, and GCP, or on their own tenant.

It offers a middle ground between Mistral NeMo 12B and Mistral Large 2, providing a cost-effective, fast, and reliable solution for various applications.

Pixtral 12B on Le Chat
Following the release of the Apache model Pixtral 12B, Mistral.ai now offers this vision-capable model for free on le Chat. Pixtral 12B supports images of any size without compromising text-based performance and can be used for scanning, analyzing, searching, captioning, and understanding personal or enterprise knowledge files. The model is available under the Apache 2.0 license, allowing users to deploy it in their own environments without transferring sensitive data to third-party providers.
