Bitfinex announces the listing of Turbo (TURBO), an Ethereum-based memecoin created with ChatGPT, with trading set to commence on August 1, 2024.
Bitfinex, a leading digital asset trading platform, has announced the listing of Turbo (TURBO), an Ethereum-based memecoin created with the assistance of ChatGPT, according to blog.bitfinex.com.
Introduction to TURBO
Launched in 2023 by digital artist Rhett Mankind, TURBO was developed using the OpenAI chatbot ChatGPT under the directive to create “the next big meme coin on a budget of just $69.” Although TURBO lacks a specific utility or purpose, it boasts zero transaction fees, a community-driven model, and a smart contract whose ownership was renounced by its creator.

“Memecoins are known for their creativity, and their popularity illustrates how DeFi is only limited by the imagination of users and developers in Web3,” stated Henry Child, Head of Tokens at Bitfinex. “We are pleased to add TURBO to the roster of digital assets we have available for trading on Bitfinex.”
Listing Details
Deposits for TURBO are expected to open at approximately 10:00 AM UTC on July 30, 2024, pending network conditions. Trading is scheduled to commence at around 10:00 AM on August 1, 2024, contingent upon liquidity requirements being met. TURBO will be tradable against US Dollars (TURBO/USD) and Tether tokens (TURBO/USDt).
