- Shiba Inu has inked a new milestone with thousands of new addresses added.
- The milestones are helping to position SHIB ahead of the Shibarium Launch.
It is quite interesting that within a very short time, Shiba Inu (SHIB) has risen to outstanding heights and also hit several milestones including reaching about 14,000,000 people. In these last few months, the SHIB network has seen unprecedented expansion with 2,538 new SHIB addresses onboarded in one day. Shiba Inu has set a phenomenal milestone in the volume of long-term holders that it currently has.
At the moment, it has hit an all-time high owing to the newly created addresses and increased number of SHIB holders. The dynamics of holders’ composition changed in response to the increased volume of holders. Based on data from Etherscan, the number of SHIB holders is 1,309,548. Of this figure, 70% of SHIB holders have held their token for more than one year and it is safe to regard such investors as long-term holders.
Another 28% have held SHIB tokens within a year and only 2% have had their tokens for about two months.
Additionally, Shiba Inu is doing better than many of its counterparts and has even surpassed several of them. While SHIB has about 70% long-term holders, its closest rival Dogecoin (DOGE) has 69%. For Cardano (ADA), the volume of long-term holders is around 53%. SHIB’s large transactions connected to whales, or large holders who are either buying or selling
SHIB price is currently at $0.0000085, indicating a six-month low although it is also trying to recover. The growth in long-term holders is a clear signal that the community still believes in the token not minding the price decline.
Only a few days ago, Crypto-News Flash reported that the number of transactions completed on the Shiba Inu network has surpassed 10 million. This was amidst several adoption and integration of the network into various platforms like Tangem, NOWPayment and so many others.
Shiba Inu to Launch Shibarium Soon
Noteworthy, the SHIB network has netted this result only a few weeks away from the launch of Shibarium.
According to a screenshot shared by Shiba Inu (SHIB) community influencer and SHIB marketing team member LUCIE, the launch is closer than expected. While the screenshot and other previous posts by Shibarium1 (an anonymous Shibarium developer) suggests that the launch will be in August, LUCIE believes that it should happen earlier than that, maybe in July.
Shibarium beta is performing better than expected and as of mid-May, it had reached about 6,900,532 transactions and a total of 14,701,132 wallet addresses had been created. It has also achieved a total block now at 781,127 at an average block time of 6.4 seconds.
According to a screenshot shared by ShibaInuNews on Twitter, total transactions have reached 15,412,737, while wallet addresses are at 16,505,670. Also, Shibarium beta has attained total blocks of 1,087,720 at an average block time of 7.6 seconds.
