It was recently reported that VeChain (VET) has collaborated with Internazionali BNL d’Italia to award its first NFT integrated trophy called the “Phygital trophy” to the winner of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tour and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).
A little over a week after this interesting tournament, VeChain has shared some key moments in its message to the people who participated in the unforgettable moments.

During the event, VeChain, together with World of V and Explus mounted a stand at the commercial area of the tournament and enabled visitors to phygitize their items. In-person attendees had the opportunity to experience sustainably produced bracelets that have QR Codes leading them to the page of ‘VeAces’.
It is important to note that this also serves as a raffle ticket, and was developed by World of V. About 150 people who were randomly selected at the event received phygital sports caps. On top of that, others also received tickets to the 2023 ATP Finals in Turn, Italy.
Phygital goods enrich experiences, creating something tangible, immersive, and unique. For brands, it greatly enriches the customer journey, creates new insights into the lifecycle of products, and facilitates novel forms of engagement. The online attendees to the event were not left out as some were able to contest and win phygital prizes. They claimed their VeAce NFT from a bespoke landing page right after the tournament commenced. The trophy given out to the winners has NFT attached to the in-built NFC chip, and it is meant to be proof of ownership. In other words, it serves as a certificate of authenticity to prevent any potential fraud.
This is a very interesting way to present blockchain to the world. VeChain has also announced multiple collaborations in a bid to translate the potential of its blockchain to the real world to transform society in the future.
