- China, Brazil, and many other countries have made clear their stances on the USD, as they collectively attempt to regain control of their economies.
Many countries in different parts of the world are turning their backs on the U.S. dollar. These countries are vocal about their plans to reduce their reliance on the U.S. dollar, mostly in a bid to regain control of their economy.
It appears that some key figures in the United States are unhappy with the new development. Donald Trump, the former President of the United States is one of the few who has now made his opinion public.
The former U.S. President has spoken up about the recent move from China, particularly its attempt to unseat the U.S. dollar as a reserve currency. Donald Trump tackled China and countries like Saudi Arabia and Russia, all of which are slowly moving away from the U.S. dollar and its economy. Taking to Truth Social, his own social media platform, Donald Trump spoke at length on the ongoing development.
Trump signals that it might be possible, under President Biden’s administration, that China could displaced the U.S. dollar. Should this happen, China’s yuan will become the leading currency across the globe. This is bound to harm the U.S. economy, Trump implied.
China is trying to displace the U.S. dollar as the number one currency throughout the world. If this happens, and under Biden’s leadership it probably will, this would be the biggest defeat for our country in its history.
Going further, Trump acknowledged the current state of the U.S. economy, particularly the rate at which the U.S. dollar is crumbling. In the long term, the U.S. will lose its dominance and its position as a powerful nation, Trump asserted.

Trump speaks on the biggest defeat that the U.S. will record in the next 200 years
“Our currency is crashing and will soon no longer be the world standard which will be our greatest defeat frankly in 200 years; there will be no defeat like that. That will take us away from being even a great power.” The former U.S. President further added.
Countries like China, India, and Russia are pouring into the Chinese yuan, in a bid to strengthen the currency’s adoption within and outside Asia. On the 22nd of March, the Xi – Putin meeting was held. During the meeting, Vladimir Putin, the current President of Russia, showed support for China’s yuan. Putin revealed that he aligns with the move to settle payments within developing economies in Africa, Latin, and other Asian countries using the Chinese yuan.
