The Cardano’s Vasil mainnet upgrade has been scheduled to happen on September 22 after postponing it from its initial date of June this year. In response, one of the projects on Cardano known as “Artano” has shared that they have learned some important takeaways while preparing and upgrading for a successful transition to the mannet. According to Charles Hoskinson, the Cardano founder, this is just a tip of an iceberg of what Vasil can do.
This is an example of the power of Vasil that’s coming this month. The new features dramatically improve many different DApps and enable new DApps like Djed to be deployed on Cardano. This is just the beginning. EUTXO and Plutus are the gifts that keep on giving.
Speaking to his Twitter audience, he mentioned that the crypto market is disconnected from reality. In his statement, a true crypto project should focus on technology, the problems it solves, and the people it helps. He also mentioned that Cardano is stronger than before and is changing the world.
A universal truth about crypto is that the markets are disconnected from reality. Cardano has never been stronger and frankly many other projects are also solid across the industry, yet you don’t see that reflected- just a sea of red. Macro factors always win out.
All three indicators reached for the Cardano roll-out
Developers have assured that there would be greater scalability and an incredibly lower fee after the upgrade. It is important to note that the first major upgrade would be incorporated into the Plutus script. Plutus came during the previous upgrade called Alonzo in September last year. The date for this update follows the Ethereum Merge which is expected to be launched from September 13 to 15. This is said to transition the network to the Proof of Stake algorithm according to the official website.
Cardano-associated R&D company Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), has stated that three important indicators were reached during the update.
75% of mainnet blocks being created by the final Vasil node candidate (1.35.3) 2. approximately 25 exchanges upgraded (representing 80% of ada liquidity) 3. top 10 DApps by TVL confirming they have upgraded to 1.35.3 on PreProduction and are ready for mainnet.
Hoskinson has disclosed that MEXC and Bitrue exchange are all ready for the upgrade. Also, Binance is on the verge of coming on board with the likes of Upbit, Coinbase, WhiteBit, BKEX, and HitBTC all in progress.
Recently, Cardano (ADA) got listed on Robinhood, a U.S.-based retail investment platform. This coupled with the fork is expected to cause a price surge.
