Celebrity chef and media personality Gino D’Acampo is the personality behind a new play-to-earn Metaverse game called Big Town Chef.
D’Acampo’s debut game draws upon the chef’s passion for food and pays homage to his iconic image and celebrity following, which he has garnered from his regular appearances on This Morning, his fondness of Italian food, and his cookbooks.
The celebrity chef announced his online cooking game on Twitter, sharing the project with his twitter followers:
“It’s a big day for me and my team…. Today we’re proud to announce ‘Gino’s Big Town Chef’ – our upcoming online cooking game! We are just getting started & I can’t wait for you guys to see it… @BigTownChef”
The next generation metaverse game will allow players to farm, trade virtual ingredients and compete in cook off battles in a 3D Metaverse environment called Big Town.
Gino D’Acampo’s digital game avatar is one of the first NFTs for the game, and is a collectable one-of-a-kind 3D artwork with unique in-game features. Users can earn tokens and trade these for real-world rewards as well as collect digital assets. The game is currently under development and interested parties will need to reserve a space on the NFT presale list in order to participate.
Powered by the $BURP token on the Polygon network, Big Town Chef joins the growing number of leading metaverse crypto projects that are contributing to the global metaverse market that is predicted to grow to $1.5 trillion by 2030.
Big Town Chef joins other now well-known P2E games such as Crypto Kitties and Axie Infinity, the latter of which became the biggest earners in crypto in 2021, increasing its value by 20 times while still in the Alpha stage.
Prospective players of Big Town chef can join their Discord community and learn about the presale of limited edition chef avatars, which will be needed in order to participate in the game.
