Spot XRP ETF Launched in the U.S.
As we covered in our latest report, Canary Capital launched the first spot XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the U.S.
The launch came after Nasdaq formally certified the Canary Capital XRP ETF, dubbed XRPC, for trading on November 13, following approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). XRPC opened the door for the first single-token spot XRP fund to launch on a major U.S. exchange.
This is the first regulated product to fully track XRP. The fund tracks the XRP-USD CCIXber Reference Rate Index, giving investors a simple way to gain exposure to XRP.
The structure aligns with broader efforts to expand institutional pathways into crypto, especially as more asset managers build products tied to individual altcoins.
Buying a spot XRP ETF is like purchasing regular stocks. The product is settled through standard brokerage accounts. As such, investors hold shares of the product, whereas the fund itself accumulates and securely holds XRP on their behalf.
This is supposed to increase the overall interest in XRP, which could lead to a price surge, especially if the demand meets or exceeds expectations. To complement this trend, Robinhood has officially listed XRPC, fueling additional excitement across the XRP community.
XRP Exchange Outflows Surpass Inflows
Recent XRP exchange netflow is the second element that may be interpreted as bullish for the price. According to data, XRP outflows have surpassed inflows on exchanges over the past few weeks.
This indicates that investors have likely abandoned centralized platforms and switched to self-custody methods. Investors usually use self-custody for long-term holding, preparing for future price rises, or even to avoid exchange hacks.
This is bullish for the XRP price because more coins are leaving exchanges than entering them. This reduces the risk of sudden mass selling, which often pushes prices down.
Moreover, exchange inflow spikes often precede market shifts. As highlighted in our previous article, this signals key behavioral changes among XRP’s largest holders.
Spike in XRP Ecosystem Activity
Finally, the XRP ecosystem has accelerated lately, demonstrating robust activity. In the past few days, the number of XRP payments from one account to another hovered around the one-million mark.
Meanwhile, the number of executed transactions often surpassed two million. Additionally, the number of newly created accounts on November 11 jumped above 13,000. This is the highest level witnessed since January this year.
