Hamilton Lane collaborates with Securitize and Wormhole to expand its SCOPE Fund multichain, enhancing interoperability on Ethereum and Optimism.
Hamilton Lane, a prominent asset manager with $956 billion in assets, is expanding its Senior Credit Opportunities Securitize Fund (SCOPE) to include multichain capabilities. This expansion will be facilitated by the integration of Securitize and Wormhole, according to Wormhole.
Expansion to Ethereum and Optimism
The SCOPE Fund, initially launched in 2022, will now be available on the Ethereum Mainnet and Optimism, offering enhanced features such as daily NAV pricing, instant subscriptions, and on-demand redemptions. The multichain interoperability is powered by Wormhole, which will enable seamless movement of the new sSCOPE token across supported ecosystems.
Wormhole’s Role in the Expansion
Wormhole, as the exclusive multichain partner, will provide a single pool of liquidity and a collateral asset for developers to integrate into decentralized finance (DeFi) opportunities. Robinson Burkey, Co-Founder of the Wormhole Foundation, highlighted the growing institutional demand for multichain solutions, stating that the transfer of SCOPE across blockchain networks allows Hamilton Lane to access capital in a secure and transparent manner.
Institutional Adoption and Innovation
This collaboration marks a significant shift toward seamless interoperability in the financial sector. With over $3.5 billion in multichain tokenized assets under management, Wormhole is at the forefront of powering cross-chain infrastructure. The platform has already facilitated multichain access for other major offerings, including BlackRock’s USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL) and Apollo’s ACRED fund.
