A new Ethereum-based altcoin is surging after earning a surprise spot on the global crypto exchange Binance.
In a new announcement, Binance says they’ve launched support for Adventure Gold (AGLD).
AGLD is the native ERC-20 token of the non-fungible token-focused Loot project.
The Loot Project released “Loot Bags” which are ostensibly NFT-based text files that will act as the building blocks for yet-to-be-built video games in the future.
Anyone with a Loot Bag can claim 10,000 AGLD, which is also a currency interwoven to the games.
Binance has put AGLD in its Innovation Zone, where new and potentially highly volatile tokens often go to debut on the platform.
“Binance will list Adventure Gold (AGLD) in the Innovation Zone and will open trading for AGLD/BNB, AGLD/BTC, AGLD/BUSD and AGLD/USDT trading pairs at 2021-10-05 07:00 (UTC).”
Since the listing on Binance, AGLD has surged 47.9%. At time of writing, the new altcoin is trading at $4.33 with a market cap of $332,877,468, according to CoinGecko.
AGLD pulled off similar price action last month when it was listed to Coinbase, surging from $2.91 just before the announcement, up to as high as $4.29 before giving up much of its gains.
