BNB Chain’s MVB Season 9 event in Hong Kong gathered leading Web3 figures to discuss blockchain innovation and featured insights from industry leaders like CZ and Vitalik Buterin.
BNB Chain recently hosted its ninth season of the Most Valuable Builder (MVB) Accelerator Program in Hong Kong, coinciding with the Web3 Festival. The event brought together 16 early-stage projects selected for MVB Season 9, a collaborative initiative between BNB Chain, YZi Labs, and CMC Labs, for a two-day off-site gathering.
Innovative Discussions with Industry Leaders
A highlight of the event was a fireside chat featuring Binance Founder CZ and Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin. The discussion emphasized the importance of cross-chain collaboration and the potential for blockchain to drive real-world utility. The conversation touched on various topics, including AI’s role in blockchain, sustainable innovation, and the convergence of AI and crypto to improve society.
Both CZ and Vitalik underscored the necessity of building decentralized infrastructure that can scale over time. CZ expressed enthusiasm for AI’s application in algorithmic trading and liquidity pattern recognition, while Vitalik discussed the potential of AI-powered DAO governance simulations to enhance coordination in decentralized organizations.
Keynotes and Panel Discussions
Yi He, Co-Founder of Binance, delivered a keynote on building teams and culture, sharing insights from her experience scaling Binance. Her talk emphasized the importance of a strong organizational culture and leadership in driving a mission-driven company.
Sarah Song from BNB Chain provided an overview of the BNB Chain ecosystem, highlighting the long-term support available for startups. Ella Zhang from YZi Labs discussed the company’s vision and commitment to supporting founders in AI, Web3, and biotech, emphasizing impact over profit.
Alex Odagiu from YZi Labs shared strategies for early-stage fundraising, advising founders on preparing for successful pitches and negotiations. The event also featured discussions on product-market fit, fundraising strategies, and leveraging CoinMarketCap for growth, offering valuable insights to participants.
Networking and Future Opportunities
The event facilitated networking opportunities with venture capitalists, key opinion leaders, and the press, fostering potential collaborations and exposure for the projects involved. The 16 selected projects, spanning sectors like AI, DeFi, and gaming, will present their ideas during Demo Day on April 24, with YZi Labs determining which projects will receive investment.
