The Utah Jazz are looking to become the first sports team in the world to offer fans access to a virtual locker room through NFTs. The launch would allow fans of the Utah Jazz the chance to enter the locker room of their favorite team and mix with some of the legends of the franchise.
This gives Jazz fans a chance to turn their dreams into reality, and all they would need is an NFT.
An Important Opportunity For The Fans And The Community
When talking about the launch, Ryan Smith, team owner, described it as a great opportunity for the Utah community and the team’s more tech-savvy fans. He further commented stating,
“The NFT program is our opportunity to show the world that technology is thriving in our state, and we intend to be on the forefront of innovation as we move forward.”
The move is also an indication of how the NBA is getting more involved with crypto and NFTs.
A Groundbreaking Initiative
When it comes to the virtual locker room, Utah Jazz fans will have access to the virtual locker room and will be able to take a tour of the Utah Jazz locker room. They will also be able to interact with any franchise icon, whether it is a player, former player, part owner, or coach owner. The Utah Jazz team will be selling multiple NFTs associated with different icons during the season.
The NFTs can be purchased as early as today through the website rarbible.com and are secured using the Ethereum blockchain. The sale will be running until the 15th of September unless they sell out before the specified date. The Utah Jazz team will make 30 NFTs available during the sale.
