Bitcoin has dominated the headlines in recent weeks, with its record-breaking surge and new all-time high attracting hordes of investors. BTC is also racing towards $100,000, falling short by less than $500 a week ago. “On a multiyear horizon though, bitcoin’s structural uptrend is intact and will ultimately take it to $200,000+,” says Dhaval Joshi, an analyst at BCA Research. “As bitcoin’s share of this market [non-confiscatable assets] increases and the supply of bitcoins reaches its upper limit, bitcoin’s price has substantial upside,” he added.
Other industry leaders have been just as vocal. Arthur Hayes, the founder of Bitcoin derivatives exchange BitMEX, has stated that BTC will hit $1 million due to long-term inflationary pressures. Cathie Wood, the renowned ex-Wall Street veteran and ARK Invest CEO, believes that the top crypto will hit $1.5 million in the long term, which would be a 1400% surge from its current price.
